Workplace & Performance Coaching
A team based or one-on-one coaching program that aligns the
organisation’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to the individual. The
aim is to keep the management team or individual focussed on achieving
the organisational objectives of their jobs. ACA achieves this by
understanding the individual’s drivers and aligning those to the
organisation.
This coaching is ideal for organisations that do not have the bandwidth
to mentor or coach their people. The objective of this level of
coaching is to optimise the individual performance of the key personnel
and their staff.
The focused approach generates almost immediate results.
Leader as Coach - Training and Mentoring
Today’s corporate environment leaves little scope to mentor
and coach your staff. You have to put time aside from your busy
schedule to attend to the further development of your staff. The
challenge in trying to stay focussed on your own objectives and vision
whilst mentoring and coaching another’s potential may be more difficult
then it seems.
Keeping the balance between Manager and Mentor is not only about control but also about guidance and support.
This program will enable you to become a coach and mentor in the moment!
We will give you the skills, knowledge and tools to be able to think,
walk and talk without having to put a different hat on whilst managing
your staff!
The benefits of developing a coaching culture within your organisation are:
- Ensuring success after promotions or new employees
- Leadership development
- Retention of key staff
- Performance enhancement
- Improved teamwork
- Improved relationships with peers
- Improved job satisfaction
- Reduced conflict
- Assist senior executives in communicating with their staff in a way that engenders commitment, responsibility and accountability.
Our 'Leader as Coach' training program will enable your management team to:
- Be a “coach in the moment”
- Assist your staff in developing goals and actions based on the SMARTER framework
- Effectively manage conflict and difficult conversations
- Utilise coaching tools and templates
- Know the difference between Managing and Coaching
- Demonstrate and apply coaching language and skills: Listening, questioning, supporting and collaborating, developing trust, providing constructive feedback
- Effectively assess the needs of your staff
- Align organisational goals to individual goals of the coachee
- Apply coaching strategies to ensure the success of your staff
- Apply the principles of effective coaching
The ACA ‘Leader as Coach’ training is developed and aligned with the nationally recognised industry competency standards for leaders and managers. Additionally, each program is tailored to meet the objectives of the organisation.

Executive Coaching
In this one-on-one coaching program., the consultant works closely
with the individual members of the senior level management team. The
first session focuses on understanding the goals and challenges
associated with achieving those goals.
We design a program that takes a step-by-step approach in overcoming
the challenges, eliminating negative tolerations that drain you at the
end of the day and break goals down to achievable and realistic
objectives in order to achieve the big picture.
More importantly, we invest time in understanding the natural
characteristics and management style of each individual, incorporating
profiling tools such as Myers Briggs to help the individual better
understand him or herself. This includes learning how to use proven
communication techniques (e.g. neuro linguistic programming – NLP) to
better manage relationships with staff, stakeholders and clients as
well as those outside of the workplace.
The design of the program is aligned to both organisational and
personal objectives. It takes into account the current corporate
climate, the specific industry sector (e,g. banking and finance, IT,
manufacturing) to maximise the process for swift results. Back to the top

Team Building Team
Building activities demonstrate different aspects of team behaviours
and get team members to think about what is essential for high
performing teams. They allow the group to recover from disunity,
frustration and conflict. They also help sensitize team members to
behaviours that may contribute toward or obstruct group problem
solving. Behaviours cover such things as good communication, problem
solving skills, trust, taking advantage of the strengths and weaknesses
of each team member and understanding the customer’s point of view.

Team Building using Myers BriggsGlobally
recognised as a key management tool, the Myers Briggs Type Indicator
(MBTI) helps participants understand their strengths, style,
preferences and potential weaknesses. This proves a powerful tool,
useful for career planning, teamwork, personal development,
communication skills, role design and conflict resolution.
Participants are guided through the MBTI methodology within a workshop
setting. They also receive a personal profile, prepared for them by
ACA, plus any follow up coaching needs they may identify.
This fun high-energy workshop allows each participant to identify his
or her own personality profile. This profile outlines basic attitudes,
processes of perception and style of dealing with the world.
This workshop assists businesses to:
- select teams, task forces and work groups with sufficient diversity to solve problems
- help group members recognise, appreciate and make use of their strengths
- help those who work or live together to understand how previously
irritating and obstructive differences can become a source of strength
and even amusement.
This workshop can be tailored to include stimulating outdoor activities
that highlight behavioural differences in problem solving and
communication styles.
